All Settled In

Well, here I am back in Philadelphia and all settled in my new place. Since I'm bored and waiting for my floor meeting to start I figured I'd post my wish list item for my ideal first day of class outfit.

House Dressing

I wore this yesterday while making a Starbucks run with my mom before starting to put everything I own in the universe in boxes. I'm so excited to move into my apartment at school tomorrow! However, due to my moving, this will probably be the last post til Monday or Tuesday.

Fancy-Shmancy

Tonight was the dinner party I mentioned in an earlier post (Option #1) with my oldest friend and fellow blogger Jamie of The Life and Times of The Uterus Factory and our respective mothers. I decided to wear my new red dress instead of the one I posted earlier as I felt it was just a tad more sophisticated and elegant. Let me tell you, I'm glad I did because I had to work it out to keep up with Jamie's banging sense of style! Check out her blog, its on my blog roll, to see more of her great outfits!

Getting Presentable

Today, I'm meeting my mom at her office for lunch, so I have to look slightly more put together and acceptable than normal. I really don't want to resort to actually putting on office wear though, so instead I'm wearing this dress (which I think is really supposed to be a swim cover up, oops) that I picked up for $8 at Target yesterday. Oh Target, what will I do without you when I go back to school?

Getting Prepared

So, as my summer draws to a close, I end up having less and less clothing available to me as it all gets packed up for school. Which means items that I haven't really been wearing start getting a lot more play in my wardrobe. I loved this top when I bought, but I've probably only worn it about three times. Hopefully my dwindling clothing options will open up a whole new appreciation for my underworn pieces.

Thinking of Autumn

I know, I know, wearing a scarf in summer is so impractical. It's just so light and airy and I couldn't wait to wear it.

Adventures in Romper-land

If there was one item that I promised myself I'd never buy, it was romper. However, after finding one on the sale rack yesterday at Urban Outfitters and trying it on with unanimous friend approval, I caved. I actually really like it. My mom however, does not, and so this outfit is me attempting to wear my romper while appeasing my mother by covering up just a tad. I think next time I'll wear it with a boytank underneath, I envision that being way cuter. So, please excuse my "ehhh" looking first attempt and stay tuned for more adventures in romper-land.
